Friday just completed her third set of vaccinations, and we are now safe to explore North Idaho! Her first big trip was to Cabela’s and our local lineman owned distillery, Up North Distillery. She was a big hit wherever we went! Friday was calm and confident with greeting new dogs, and lots of new people. Solid genetics plus professional training equals a great partner.

An important aspect of a young dog’s life is age appropriate socialization. Friday is set up to have positive experiences with many different people, animals, and environments. This does NOT mean that she gets to play with every dog she sees. This means that she is neutral and focused on her people, but is calm, confident, and appropriate with a variety of situations.
So far, Friday has met a variety of different breeds of dogs, is respectful of our kitty, has met the neighbors mini donkeys, and has gone on walks with our resident goats, Elsa and Anna. There will be many new experiences to come as she matures.
Friday also earned her Virtual Home Manners Puppy title from AKC this month! We are always working towards new goals!

We were busy this month! Friday earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen, and her AKC Community Canine titles! We trained in Downtown CDA, attended a beer festival, Home Goods, North 40, our favorite brewery, and many more places around town!

We also went hiking at Farragut and perfected off leash recall skills!

November was busy with a road trip from Idaho to California! Friday came along as we delivered three Ribbit puppies! It was a great opportunity to work on proofing her behaviors in many new places. She got to check out the home and garden show, stay in a hotel, and practice her home manners in California!
